Caracterización sociodemográfica de la poblacion encuestada en Doñana y Sierra Nevada, Similitudes y diferencias
The recognition of the environmental and landscape qualities of certain areas is driving changes in the residential preferences of the population. The interest for the rural-natural areas like new residential places is the central focus of narturbanization processes, those explains how the presence of a protected space stimulates the processes of urbanization in the surroundings areas. This paper explores the perceptions and motivations of the new and old settlers from qualitative methodologies. The research analyzes in a comparative way, the results of a survey carry on a number of people living on municipalities surrounding the national parks of Doñana and Sierra Nevada. Preliminary results reveal by residents but mostly, state the value that the most recent population grants to the protected environment; and secondly, they reveal how the presence of the national park is not being recognized as a support of above mentioned characteristics and therefore it is not related to the environmental and landscape values.
